Projects for a Global IT Major
Ramsoft had relationship with a global IT major for over Twelve years by supporting them with projects and teams in three continents. This relationship has included the development of drivers, implementation of communication protocols and generation of test applications/suites. This helped them for their hardware product lines and which in turn contributed to the development of their network management solutions. Ramsoft has jointly bided for US projects with this OEM for their corporate accounts, where they supplied the hardware and Ramsoft completely fulfilled the software requirements of the project.
Integrated Media Advertising System (IMAS)
Ramsoft developed an Internet advertising management system for an advertising and publishing group. This application was integrated with the company's financial systems for billing. Ramsoft subsequently supported and maintained the application. This initial project development relationship evolved into a support and maintenance. Ramsoft has marketing relationships with this media major for some of their applications like what we built for them and what they had built using their internal IT in various geographies.
Global IT Project Portfolio Management System (GITPPM)
Ramsoft developed a Global IT Project Portfolio Management System (GITPPM) for a large Swiss Bank. The application disseminates and monitors information at the enterprise level, on the bank's multi-billion dollar portfolio of IT projects and initiatives (over 1500 at any given time). This gave the management a top-level view of the status of various projects and ability to cut costs or apply funds judiciously. GITPPM was a web-based application housed at the bank's headquarters and accessed from around 1000 locations around the globe. The application provides interfaces for directly collecting information from the project management tools used at the enterprise level.
Mission Computer for a Fighter Aircraft
Ramsoft architected and developed a complete mission-critical avionics system for a fighter aircraft. This project was undertaken for defense research lab.
The system was developed from scratch. It was built for the hardware platform built by their R & D team. Ramsoft's involvement started with identification of the right chip vendor and extended to specifications, design and implementation. It also helped to provide the system on an integrated test rig. Cost and time over-runs were avoided in spite of having to contend with frequent requirement changes. Stringent military standards (Mil 1553 and DoD 2167A conformance) were adhered to.
The project involved Ramsoft managing teams from multiple companies. Ramsoft's development tasks spanned the gamut from kernels, embedded applications, drivers and test suites. The system has performed successfully during the test-flights of the aircraft.
Quick And More
Ramsoft developed a media application for a Swiss media major, extending print advertising to mobiles, landlines, and the Internet. This was in response to the client's desire to develop a system to add interactivity to print advertising and communication printed on product labels. The application was implemented in collaboration with a large Swiss telecommunications company.
The service enabled consumers to have easy access to a host of information and services provided by the advertisers. The vendors and providers of products and services on the other hand, had a means to constantly keep in touch with their users and thus enhance their customer care.
Support and Maintenance Relationships
Products - Networking and Web Services
Ramsoft's team of engineers provided support for two product lines of a global IT organization. These products facilitate effective management of both network elements and computer subsystems. The team handled second and third level support including fixing bugs, creating, testing, and releasing patches, resolving customer issues, product maintenance and internationalization.
UNIX OS Maintenance
Ramsoft has supported the Unix-based operating system of a well-known international OEM. This was third level support for bugs, commands and functions. Ramsoft subsequently supported these commands and functions for the client's worldwide user-base. This activity extended for a period of five years and involved a large team including a project manager, two project leaders and developers.
IPFMG (Integrated Pre-flight Message Generator) Maintenance
IPFMG is a real-time software application used in modern electronic combat. The application maintained the systems database of the aircraft and created necessary inputs as message files for the Operations Flight Program (OFP). The details are loaded into the aircraft before each mission. Ramsoft developed this application for a defense lab and undertook its maintenance and up gradation.

Build Operate Transfer (B-O-T) for a Fund Management Product Company
A financial product development company of Luxembourg and Geneva had a highly rated mutual fund management product. They had developed and supported via development centers in three European locations. Due to an increase in their market-share, they wished to augment these centers with a set-up in India so as to keep the product at the cutting-edge. Ramsoft set up this centre and built the team for them in India. Initially the team was located within Ramsoft's own development centre. The team was ramped up to around 45 people within six months and utilized Ramsoft's technical, management and administrative resources. This was extended for a duration of sixteen months during which time Ramsoft located separate premises for the team, dealt with various operational issues with regard to the transfer of the team on behalf of the client and finally handed over the team to the client as a separately incorporated entity.
Networking Team for a Telecom giant
Ramsoft created a team of SNMP specialists for a global telecom equipment manufacturer. These engineers developed a few versions SNMP modules, the associated test software and executed the systems test procedures for a satellite telephony project. The deliverables conformed to SEI/CMM Level 5 and Six Sigma processes.
Embedded Software Team for a US OEM
Ramsoft created a dedicated team of engineers to support the development, design, porting and testing of embedded software for a Network Laser Printer, which was used
for a global IT major in the DSP space. This team worked for over a year and half. Ramsoft used its extensive vendor network and project management skills to build and maintain this team. The integrated system was developed under VxWorks/Solaris using C and Assembly.
